Emailing Invoices from Sage

I have had several clients report to me this week the inability to email their invoices from Sage 100. It is happening in versions 2019, 2020 and 2021. They all use Office 365 and have been using the outlook.office365.com in their setup for quite some time. Has anyone else run into this problem? I have a call into Support but they are backlogged today.

I can not state that upgrading to Sage 100 version 2019 current service pack or higher will resolve a specific issue. The 2019 current service pack or higher enables TLS1.2 for e-mail transmissions.

We have an older version, but it happened to us after a Windows update (several times). I believe the techs reinstalled the Sage PDF printer and then it worked correctly

I believe we have this resolved at my client. IT stated this is related to Office 365 and the type of spam/blast-type of controls that Microsoft has in place. So IT is relaying e-mails thru their spam…

We reinstalled the Sage PDF Converter printer, but unfortunately that didn't help.

Check if the PDF is being created. These issues are VERY different:

PDF created and not emailed (SMTP / emailing issue... check the error message you get when trying to send and give that to whoever supports your email).

PDF not created (paperless PDF creation issue), which has nothing to do with email.

PDF created and not emailed (SMTP / emailing issue... check the error message you get when trying to send and give that to whoever supports your email).

PDF not created (paperless PDF creation issue), which has nothing to do with email.

PDF's are created properly. I have two additional clients that have this issue. One of them is on 2017 and one is on 2018

It could be MS is finally discontinuing the old TLS protocols, which has been delayed a couple times, but expected due to industry wide announcements / warnings for years.

Sage added support for TLS 1.2 with v2019+.
