Are multiple datapaths possible?

Question

Hello! We are considering adding a remote worker to our system that will only work on certain company files. This remote worker would be isolated on our network and they would not have access to our existing datapath. We would move only certain companies to a new share that is separate from our original as we do not want them to see all of our companies... Is it possible to set up the remote user with their own Datapath, independent of our existing one, or do we have to do a separate-standalone install and keep the companies local? Thanks in advance.

You can't have multiple data paths on one server. But why not just use Sage 50's security to limit their access? User names and passwords are set per company, so you can easily control which companies they can access. They would be able to see the full company list, but they could only open the ones you have given them rights to. If you don't want them to be able to see the entire company list, then you'll have to give them a stand-alone installation.
