Easiest to run a backup from the current server and then just run a restore on the new new server.

Are you saying to back up each company and restore?  We have 7 companies.

Yes -- just easier/safer to backup up each one and make sure you get all the related files into a single zipped up .PTB backup file (per company) and then restore each of those on your new server.

Thanks for the reply.  Unless I hear differently from someone else I guess I will take your advice.  Was hoping to not have to do that because in that way I also have to deal with the Archives.

You can copy the company folders as you described above -- just more room for error.  Yo can also exclude the archives in the backup.

Why would you believe that copying the main Company folder with all the subfolders would be open to more error?
