So let me repeat what you are saying.   You want to put trucking and disposal on the invoice as one item but have it hit two income accounts in the General Ledger?  Is that correct? 

Why not just list it as two line items? 

You are correct in your summary.

It causes confusion for some customers and leads to calls to explain the invoice detail, thus taking time away from taking other incoming calls.

You cannot do that in sage 50.

Do you know if it is possible in any Sage product?

I would hate have to convert to QB's just because of this.

You can create an Assembly item, however, it only allows you to post income to one income account (GL Income Acct), one inventory account (GL Inventory Acct) and one COS account (GL Cost of Sales Acct). Doing this would allow you to enter both items so they appear as one item on an invoice, but you would have to do a journal entry in order to split the income into multiple accounts.

It is not the perfect answer to your question, but it is a work-around that could work for you. (I know, it does require an extra step every time you create an invoice, but at least you wouldn't have to switch everyone over to QB.)

I actually went the opposite way - switching all my clients from QB to Sage 50 (due to many changes that have taken place and continue to happen with Intuit). QB is no longer the decent  software it used to be, and QB support is almost non-existent - or at least not very helpful anymore.

You could create an assembly but your service items would have to be recreated as stock items.  You could then create an Assembly item.   Each service would then be assigned to the correct account  number.
