We are working on moving Sage50 Quantum 2020 to the cloud on Microsoft Azure and wonder if Sage can run on Azure PaaS or if it will only work on IaaS.

My interpretation is that if you were hosting an application that you built, PaaS would be a viable option, but for just hosting Sage 50 as a server seems to be more of an IaaS to me.

"... If they are dead set on trying to run it on Azure they need to use IaaS. Applications have to be specifically designed for PaaS and Sage 50 is not. However we don’t support or test specifically for Azure so they may want to test out to see if they run into any issues before they commit to this configuration."
