After 2021 Update, cannot open company

Question

We updated Sage 50 to the 2021.0.0 version, and since cannot open the company file (on cloud). 
 Message is: "Could not sync the Remote Data Access company. Please try again. If the issues continue, download the company again." 
 I have tried all of these, plus trying to restore from backup. I cannot do any of it. 
 My computer is the "server." My boss accesses it remotely. 
 PLEASE help. I have payroll and billing I can't do!

Try these steps from the Sage 50 knowledgebase

Right-click on the Sage 50 Accounting shortcut and choose Run as administrator to run the program with elevated privileges. 
 Open the shared company.
 
 If the problem is resolved, set the Sage 50 shortcut to always run as administrator. See Article ID 15177: How can I make the program run as administrator by default? 
 If the error continues, refer to Article ID 73061: Error: "Could not sync the Sage Drive company" for more troubleshooting steps.

I have traced this problem to sync off-line files on the client machine. My fix was to open Sync Center from the control panel and clear files that were associated with mapped drives. I also disable disabled offline files syncing. 
 What was happening is that the '~PVSW~.loc' file was being cached from the company directory on the server. This causes a problem when the offline version of the file is read instead of the file on the server. This file contains the server machine name and the local copy fails as it is is not the server. Sage needs to read the file from the server and not a cached offline copy.
