Planning an upgrade on a Windows 10 Workstation for Sage50 Complete Accounting On-Premise from 2015 to 2021.  I am seeing several posts on upgrades causing error messages and would like this to be as clean as possible due to the Sage50 database upgrade as well in last years product.  Any advice as to the steps, as follows:

1. Within Sage50 - 2015 Backup any open companies.

2. From Windows10 Control Panel Uninstall Sage50 - 2015.

3. Are there any Sage50 Utilities that completely uninstall all instances of old version to run?

4. Install fresh copy of Sage 50 - 2021.

5. Individually import archived backed up company information by year, which will convert data to the Sage50 - 2021 database.  Save backups of these files.

6. Import backed up active year data into Sage 50 - 2021.

I assume this would be much better then any automatic conversion that would all occur by selecting UPGRADE, prefer to complete fresh install?  Any other thoughts regarding keeping same default file folder names for saved data.  Realize there may of been many changes over the 6 years between upgrades.  Thanks for any advice and/or help; before I give this a try.
