Sage 2023 - Serious flaw in current release. Need fix right away.

SOLVED

Based on the multiple experiences I'm reading here about 2023, it is clear that there is a flaw with this release.  After working with support for almost 10 hours, we've come to the conclusion that it is not our network or environment.  The database itself is large, almost 9 gb but verification reported no errors.  After multiple people log in and start to work, something happens on the server computer.  We've tested multiple hosts and the same issue is occurring when at least 4 users are connected.  The database server service in task manager shows that the database process is eating up a CPU core and doesn't stop even when everyone is signed out.  Once it's restarted, the database service goes back to 0-10% usage until multiple more people sign in, then the only way to recover is for the server (or database service) to be restarted.  Then each workstation also has to be restarted to allow sage to open.

We need to know when a fix is going to be released.

We are having the same issues since we installed 2023 last week. Things slow down and come to a grinding halt. Today I can't even post the journals. Our database is about 1.1G.  This afternoon I am trying to post our journals which normally takes a few seconds and each time I have tried it it sits there for 30 minutes or more and the everybody else (only 3) are locked up as well. I have to end the program with task mgr and then restart my computer  but it still won't post. I can do simple data entry such as changing customer address, etc. i need to find someone who can help us deal with this and am trying to find a local consultant in NC to help. It is looking like from what I have seen here we may  have to go back to 2022.

I logged a ticket with SAGE and talked with somethere but they were no help. They told us to restart the ACTIEN server on our SAGE server but it eventually locked up again.

We're in the same boat. Support says there's an update coming out to deal with slow inventory lists, but it seems like there's a bigger issue than that. We're going to have to go back to 2022.

Edit on 1/20/2023 - looks like the update was released as a P&S update yesterday - right after we uninstalled and went back to 2022. We're gonna stay put for a while but the KB article says the updated release version is 2023.0.0.22202.

We're staying on 2022 for a while just in case. Haven't tried going back to 2023 yet.

We just got a notice that 2022 will be obsolete come March 1st and are starting to get worried.
