This is definitely creating issues, I don't have a quick solution but if you run the CC using Paya directly in Sage it would pull the cards in accurately.  You would have the added bonus of making it easier to run customer CC's doing it directly in the cash receipts screen.  I can help set that up if needed.  [email protected] 

I do run the payment directly in Sage. The problem is without the first number available anywhere, you can't tell if it is V, MC, AX, or D for the correct dropdown selection.

Oh got it, that field isn't needed to run the CC so you could edit the list and have one just called Credit Card.  That list can be found under Maintain/Default Info/Customers and then the Pay Methods tab.  -John

We also use the selected option for deposit/statement verification, as well as payment verification and research with the customers when needed. So I don't think the boss will like doing that, but I will let them know it is an option. Hopefully Paya will quickly change things so the first number is visible. Thanks for the response!

We just installed the update yesterday and are having the exact same issue!  Same with us...hundreds of stored credit card numbers.  We were told there is nothing they can do.  Why didn't they tell us this would be part of the update so that we could have been proactive?  Now we head into the new year with a mess on our hands with many January 1 orders to process.  

We're in the same position.  We haven't been saving credit cards to the customer file, because they don't always want to use the same card.  So now it's my understanding that I must get a credit card from each customer and save it in their file.  My question is how do we pre-authorize?  We always pre-authorize first before we ship the order and when we invoice the customer we add the freight to the total that actually gets charged.

You are not required to store a card. What information did you see that indicates that is now required? How did you pre-authorize before?

You previously said you you have hundreds of stored numbers, so I am confused.
