2. Export & Import Maintenance Records: Export maintenance records like vendors, customers, and chart of accounts from your original company. Import these records into the new company.

3. Manual Entry: For Direct Deposit and other specific data, you may need to re-enter the information manually.

4. Backup: Make unique backups after each successful import stage for security.

Please note, transaction history won't carry over when changing accounting methods; only maintenance records can be imported.

The accounting method can not be changed once you create your company. You can set up a new company with a cash basis and follow the guides to import data from the other company. If you decide to import any transactions for Sales and Purchase journals you will need to change any import column representing the gl account for A/R and A/P to cash basis because a cash basis company does not have a GL account for A/P or A/R. I would enter transactions for a sale, purchases, receipt and payment in the cash basis company, export them and review the csv export so you can create and adjust the data to get the accrual into cash basis.
