If you're looking to transfer a credit balance from one customer account to another and both accounts belong to the same customer with multiple stores, you can follow these steps adapted from the Sage knowledge base article here:

1. Remove the Credit from the First Customer:

   • Go to Tasks, then Payments.
   • Change 'Vendor ID' to the 'Customer ID' of the customer who has the credit.
   • Use the date you plan to transfer the credit and record it against a liability account.
   • Enter the amount to be transferred and a Check/Reference No., then save the payment.
   • Still under Tasks, go to Receive Money, select the same customer, and apply the payment to the original credit to clear it from their account.

2. Apply the Credit to the Other Customer:

   • Navigate to Tasks, then Credit Memos, and choose the customer who will receive the credit.
   • Change the date to when you will apply the credit, enter a Credit No., and select the same liability account as before.
   • Save the Credit Memo, go to Receive Money, and apply the Credit Memo to the invoice of the second customer you wish to clear.

By following these steps, you’ll effectively transfer the credit from one account to another. Make sure you verify your Aging report and that the suspense account used shows the correct transactions for the balance transfer.
