BWGAccess is a Developers tool that can only be purchased by an approved Developer.  There are a few out there so contact SAGE and they can point you in the right direction.  That said - Import Sales Orders can be done without going to that level.  Look at the Transfer - Import Quotes/Sales Orders - click on the "How do I" and the import file document will appear here.  Good luck

I guess the question is, I would like to get a sense of how complicated the process is, and if doable, perhaps register to become an approved developer, so that I can develop a plug-in that works with my clients e-commerce system (and then make it available to others using the same system). Here is some more information regarding applying to be a Third Party Developer.  Through the application process you will be asked questions regarding what you are trying to develop, the scope of your program, etc….  During that process you can ask more questions regarding the BWGACCESS software and how it is used.

How to apply for Sage BusinessWorks SDK or Third Party Developer (83402)

Resolution

BWGACCESS is a program that allows third-party developers to gain access to Sage BusinessWorks data files allowing the developer to Import and Export BusinessWorks data. BWGACCESS can run in the background and does not need End-user intervention to run. The developer simply tells BWGACCESS what data to import or export.

With BWGACCESS, vertical DOS and Windows applications can access Sage BusinessWorks General Ledger, Cash Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Order Entry, Inventory Control, Payroll and Job Cost. The interface is seamless and requires no user interaction. BWGACCESS performs no screen output and never requests any keyboard or user input.

BWGACCESS uses all the extensive importing and exporting features built into the Sage BusinessWorks accounting modules plus:

• Adds additional data exporting fields
• Allows greater flexibility in selecting data to be exported
• Permits importing of information that cannot be imported using Sage BusinessWorks alone (Such as Inventory Control transactions)
• One or more type of imports can be performed with a single execution of BWGAccess
• Provides validation and generates an error log if problem is encountered
• Does not require any user intervention or participation
