Employee Retention Credit

SOLVED

Has anyone used an outside source to assist in determining eligibility and calculating this credit?  If so, who?

We used our CPA. He gave us a much better rate than what the other companies were asking for. Some of these outside companies are taking up 20% of the credit. My concern with these companies is that after ERTC is over, they will be nowhere to be found if down the road, the IRS comes back with any questions or concerns with the amended 941.

Thanks.  I've done a little bit of research - enough to see that this is a complicated calculation.  Our CPA indicated they don't specialize in these calculations so I'm trying to find some help.  I would have the same concerns with a "fly by night" company that is gone when or if issues occur.

Fair concern. There are all of a sudden lots of people 'specializing' in ERC. Our CPA had a source that we ended up using mainly to confirm the calculations we'd already made. Though it can be calculated, in the end their number was close to ours, but they used many additional calculations beyond the max credit per employee (which is where I stopped).
