Hi Heather. This means you have not installed the December 2023 year-end tax update (version 25.3.72). The maximum messages are updated for 2024 in this release. It also means you are not using the updated 2024 state and federal withholding tax tables.
It shows I am on 25.3.72.0. Was there one since? I did not receive notification of anything new.
It was my coworker that had not updated. Since she's processed payroll, and our server had the correct update, was it using the correct tables? We only have 3 computers - hers was the only one not updated.
That is the correct version. When I save a FICA payroll calculation, employee record, or compute payroll and have the wrong max in there, it gives me the 2024 maximums warning. I'm not sure why it's giving you the one for 2023. Maybe you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the program. Whether or not you closed or archived should have no bearing on the message.
That makes sense
And no, if she has not updated it would be computing payroll using the 2023 state and federal tax tables.
We have updated her! Thank you for your help!
You're welcome!
Remember that the tax update only updates the FIT & SIT withholding tables. All rates and maximums for other payroll calculations must be updated manually. Saved, recalled, and options, update the employee records.
