I saw there is an article on the knowledge base that there is a fix for that version 18.2. Contact sage and they can probably help you fix it. It is related to a third party software where they have have files remain as open session so each Time we post PR there is a message saying the file is in use. Our consultant let us know about it. 

Thank you!  I have been in contact with Sage and we do use the My Assistant and Paperless software that does have known issue with hangups if versions are not updated.

We are still having payroll locks even after applying the fix by Sage and the update from Paperless.  I am curious if there are others that are still experiencing this issue even after the updates.  

Hello. We recently upgraded to 17.1 and up to date in SPC but I have been having this issue ever since, having to go in and end all the sessions so the master file "closes" so I can post. Have you found a fix?

That issue of the Master File in use has cleared up for us.  We are on Sage CRE300 Version 18.2.2 and pVault/Sage Paperless Version 7.0.1.14 now.  Those two versions seem to work well together although we still have occasional interruptions of the pVault App Service and need to restart that on the server. 

April, On version Sage 300 CRE 18.2.2. and PVault 7.0.0.15 I see the same behavior in our environment with the Paperless Application service needing to be restarted periodically. We have actually completely rebuilt both the Sage 300 CRE and Paperless servers to try resolving this at one point. If you have any luck finding a solution to this please post to help out. Thanks!
