3rd Party PR companies

SUGGESTED

Does anyone use a 3rd Party payroll company? We will be using a 3rd party payroll company next year and I was wondering how other companies are utilizing these companies.

Thank you,

    Juanita -

I have several customers that utilize Checkwriters as their 3rd Party Payroll Company.  Time is entered in Sage 300CRE thru Payroll / Service Management and processed.  An export report is written to report the check pays, deductions, taxes, units that is uploaded.  The difference I have found with Checkwriters is that they will accept Timberline's calculations of FWH / SWH, so you don't need to go back and edit the checks to account for the way different accounting systems can calculate taxes.

When I last checked, Paychex and ADP would not allow usage of your withholding taxes.  It has been quite awhile since I've investigated this, so it may have changed.  Nothing worse than having to go thru each check and edit the taxes to be what your 3rd Party determined they should be, IMHO.
