Changing company name that appears on checks in a shared data folder

How do I correct a misspelling of our company name that appears on our checks in Accounts Payble in a shared data folder.

    Apparently you are printing checks using MICR encoding.  (AP - AP Settings - Payment Settings - Enable MICR encoding is checked.)  I would guess the misspelled name is coming from the setup in the third party software used to create the MICR encoded checks.  Examples of third party software would be AvidXchange (formerly Piracle Create-a-Check) or PrintBoss.  Since I don't use MICR encoding I cannot tell you for sure, but I would suggest you look for the misspelled name in one of these softwares' settings.

    One more idea:  In AP - Tools - Check Formats, someone could have created a text that has the company name misspelled.  First you'll need to look in CM - Setup Bank Accounts - AP Check Format to get the name of which form AP uses when you print checks.  This is the check form you should review in AP - Tools - Check Formats - Edit Face.
