Sage 300 CRE - retainage amounts are off on a couple of contracts

Hello, completely new to Sage so hopefully this question makes sense. For some reason the retainage amounts are off on a couple of contracts. When I go to bill the correct amount it leaves a balance (+/-). I've figured out how to correct the negative balances but what is the easiest way to fix this before I do the final bill?

Hi Nicole,

You can start in Accounts Receivable, Reports, Bill Retainage Preparation, By Job. Check the box to Include Contract Based Invoices and use Ranges to select the customer. This will show you the outstanding and billed retainage.

If that is different from what you're seeing in Billing, there may be unposted entires in Contracts:

If there are no unposted entries, you can reconcile your contract totals here:

https://us-kb.sage.com/portal/app/portlets/results/viewsolution.jsp?solutionid=223924950046488 - I recommend conditioning this report for one contract item at a time as it can be a long report.
