Is there any way to release a license without calling tech support? I logged into my admin account but didn't find anything. A computer melted down, and now its license is unavailable.
Currently there isn't a way to manually release a license that is in use on your own. There used to be, but apparently it caused some corruption issues and it was removed somewhere around v19. This is an often asked for enhancement. I did not know there was a way to Release a License/Seat in the Console at any time in the past. The link you posted seems to be a vote to release an individual Estimate. No doubt that is a needed feature and it gets my vote.
I would still like the ability to Release a License/Seat through the Admin Portal. The online admin portal limits who can control the Seats.
Searching through the old suggestions, I found multiple requests for this feature. Some have many votes.
