Did you ever get an answer to this?

Currently there isn't a way to manually release a license that is in use on your own.  There used to be, but apparently it caused some corruption issues and it was removed somewhere around v19.  This is an often asked for enhancement.  In addition to asking your question here, I would suggest using the following link to vote for the enhancement:  https://www5.v1ideas.com/TheSageGroupplc/SageEstimating/Idea/Detail/40347.

I did not know there was a way to Release a License/Seat in the Console at any time in the past. The link you posted seems to be a vote to release an individual Estimate. No doubt that is a needed feature and it gets my vote.

I would still like the ability to Release a License/Seat through the Admin Portal. The online admin portal limits who can control the Seats. 

Searching through the old suggestions, I found multiple requests for this feature. Some have many votes.

To clarify, are you asking to release a sage license or unlock an estimate?

From the license administrator there is a Deauthorize License server, but if you do not have access to that server, you would need to reach out to support.

We are using individual laptops with each license, and they have their own databases. How do I release a license from a laptop that no longer works?

If you need access to a license at night or on the weekend, you are screwed.
