We have are on Sage 300 Cdn and ESS.  We've been using ESS For some time and have had no issues publishing payroll history to ESS.

Thanks.  Were the employees able to see the payroll history from before they began using ESS?  Do you know what tables ESS is reading from Sage 300 to get this info?

No, we migrated from ABRA Suite to Sage HRMS and did not migrate payroll history over.   I believe BPSPCDET (SPS Check History Detail) and BPSPCMAS (SPS Check History Master) are the tables used to populate data for payroll history in ESS).  Not 100% on that.

Thanks again.  How are you publishing the pay history, from Sage 300 ERP payroll, to Sage ESS?  I am getting conflicting answers from the different Sage silos (ERP and HRMS).  Your client is using Sage 300 ERP payroll and then "moving" this information to Sage ESS?  You are not using the Sage HRMS Payroll (which in essence is Sage 300 but is different in how it connects).  My client is using Sage 300 ERP for many modules, including the payroll.  They recently added HRMS/ESS.  Sage tech support is unable to provide an answer as to how/if ESS will pull the payroll history from Sage 300 ERP payroll.

we are also using Sage HRMS Client. I misunderstood.  Are you using HRMS or just the Sage 300 Canadian Payroll with ESS?

We are also using HRMS and ESS.  The client started with Sage 300 - they added the payroll about a year ago and have now added HRMS and ESS.  I can't figure out how ESS is going to get the payroll info from Sage 300.

There is an application on the HRMS Server called "ConvertCheckData"  We have had to periodically run this process when our Publish Cheque process failed during Payroll Processing.   When you run this application, you are asked to chose some variables i.e. what dates do you want to publish to ESS and from which payroll database.   This should publish your cheque history to ESS when it's run.  The file is located under c:\Program Files (x86)\Sage\Sage HRMS Client.

There is also, within in the HRMS System, a Process under Canadian Payroll called Update Check Publish Date.  This does the same thing as the ConvertCheckData.  You choose the dates to look for unpublished cheques processed in the system.

All you can do is give this process a try and see if it updates ESS.
