I moved Timeslips 2016 to a new Microsoft Surface Pro 6 computer. Most things went well and it is up and running with my data intact. I can enter data and print bills.
However, I am having the following issues (which were not happening on my old computer):
1. When Timeslips starts, I get an error message that either there is no current email client or the current email client cannot fulfill the messaging request. It tells me to set Outlook as the default mail client. I have Outlook 365 running on this computer and Outlook is set as the default mail client, both in the Options and in Windows Settings. I have unset it and reset it as the default but continue to get the same error message whenever I open Timeslips. Is there a fix for this?
2. After I hit OK for the above error, I get another error that says "Unexpected Database Path" and says that the current database path does not match the database path in Scheduled Backup Settings. It basically says to delete and create new backup schedules. However, when I try to run the Scheduled Backups from the File menu, I get an error message that says "Exception EOSerror in module Tsschbkpservice.exe at 0000I20D, System Error Code 5, Access is denied. Some components for the Schedule Backups feature may not be installed properly. Please reinstall Timeslips." Since I just installed Timeslips, not sure how this could not be installed properly. Do I really need to reinstall Timelslips or is there some other way to get this working?
