Slip Entry very slow in Premium

When we try to enter a slip there is severe latency opening and entering a slip between each field? Any suggestions?  We are running 4 users on a network and a relatively new small database. We have contacted support on the issue and there has not been a resolution. Our outside IT firm has tried everything suggested by support.

    Your IT firm worked with me personally back in May of this year and working together, we were able to resolve the issue with your environment that was causing slowness.  They may want to look into what changed and has brought the issue back into play.

    Note that we at Sage have no record of contact from anyone at your firm since July of this year on an unrelated topic.  Be sure you are working with Sage support and not a fake/scam support agency.  All Sage employees will have email addresses with a sage.com domain.  Consultants in these forums will have their own company email addresses and are not Sage employees and are certified independent entities that work on their own fee-based schedules.

    The DB Server Service is specific to backups and would have no bearing on this sort of issue at all.

    Typical causes are relative to machine names being more than 15-characters, inaccessible Document locations used for the slip attachments, network latency or other environmental or DNS concerns, and Outlook Link being enabled when not viable.

    Hi Rogers: I am aware, however the problem was never resolved, we are really struggling here. I open a slip, and select the client, i go to task and it takes anywhere from 5-10 seconds before i can select a task, then another 5 seconds before i can select a reference. 

    We used TImelsips a long time ago, with out issue, we have clients that use it with much largere databases then us and they dont have the issue. 

    I have asked my IT folks to follow up with you, i tried to create a ticket today using the chat support but i was not able to the person on chat just kept saying have out it contact you.
