Update PU9 from 9.0.1 to 9.0.5, Do I need to update syracuse also ?

Question

Hi there, 
 
 I have freshly installed PU9, now I want to update to patch 4 and for that I am doing step-by-step in order from 9.0.1 to 9.0.5, applying the updates from the UPDATE function. 
 
 After these should I need to update SYRACUSE also ? OR anything more I need to do ? If Yes, please tell me how & from where

Hello, 
 In order to upgrade to Product update 9 patch 5, Syracuse component needs to be at patch 5 , but you don't need to upgrade the Syracuse at each patch, you can just upgrade to the last version which is patch 5 version of Syracuse, 
 You also have a mandatory runtime upgrade at Patch 4, in other words when you get to patch 4 or 5 you would need to have runtime 19 r 113.
