Sage X3 PU9 installation on LINUX

SUGGESTED

Hi There,

We have an requirement to install sage X3 PU9 on LINUX, but on online-help I can see that Print server runs only on Windows. Should I install application, run time, web, print server, Safe console on Windows server 2012 and Database server on LINUX.

Does these make sense ? Really I don't know

Please help me in these regards, till now i have done X3 installations on Windows, this is the first time for LINUX.

    SUGGESTED

    Hello,

The suggestion typically are like below.

If your customer requires SQL Server, use Windows for all components

If your customer requires Oracle, you have a choice between Windows and Linux
      - If Windows is chosen for Application / Main runtime, use Windows for all other components (additional runtime if any, print server, mongodb, ElasticSearch, Syracuse)
      - If Linux is chosen for App / Main runtime, use Linux for all other components except print server cannot run on Linux as there is no Crystal Reports engine running on Linux.

    Hi ,

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes! Customer wants to go with LINUX, I understand that all Safe X3 components need to install on LINUX except print server. Now, my question is, If print server is not installed then how it is possible to print the reports from X3 ?
