Sage X3 V7 Eclipse connection problem.

SOLVED

Hi Sage X3 specialists,

hope that someone is able to help us with our problem: For development purposes we tied to establish a connection between an "untouched" Sage X3v71 folder and Eclipse without success.

The following steps were performed:

1) Downloaded Eclipse with Sage plugin from Sage (pluginx3.sage.fr)

2) Configured the parameter AECLIDBG, AECLIDBGTR, AECLIMAC, AECLIPRT, AECLIPSE DBG and DEVCRY in the corresponding Sage X3 folder.

3) Started Eclipse

4) Tried to start the editor for a sage X3 script like it is described at greytrix (www.greytrix.com/blogs/sagex3/2014/10/30/how-to-open-sage-erp-x3-code-file-in-eclipse-folder-in-version-7/) and followed the steps till the connection endpoint data is needed.

5) Inserted the right host name, right port, chose dataset, chose language, inserted the Sage X3 development user credentials, inserted the system login credentials and pressed "Check connection".

6) From that point the connection process does not succeed and the only option to exit is to kill the eclipse task.

We already tried different versions of JRE, Eclipse and operating system. Further we checked possible network and firewall problems and had no success.

What else needs to be changed or configured to let Eclipse connect to Sage X3?
Is there a need for a special license or user right in order to work with Eclipse?

Many thanks in advance for any hints...
