MRP Settings - Load Calculation and Production Lead Time

MRP Settings have the load calculation at 26 weeks.

The production lead time is set to Routing/Product Lead time

From what I can see in the load graphs, I only see load for 6 months.

and from the MRP results, I can see that the routing is used for the first 6 months and then the product-site lead time after that

If I change the load calculation in the MRP settings to say 52 weeks, does this mean that we will:

use the routing duration in the MRP to set the start and dates
will then be able to view the load for the next year

then also, does that mean that the product-site lead times are never used to calculate load on a work center ?

Allison- I don't have an answer to your specific questions, just a related one. We recently changed our load calculation to 52 weeks, but none of the chart ranges increased beyond the 26. Did you have success in seeing more than the 26 week range?

Yes, we are viewing a years worth of work center load now. Did you also change the load settings in Setup > Manufacturing > Scheduling Parameters ? Also keep in mind that all the work orders need to be in "Scheduled" status to appear in the load calculation.

Also keep in mind.... the number of resources in your routes are equal to or greater than the number of resources assigned to the work center. it affects how the load is spread across the calendar.
