Hi
I have an understanding that X3 version numbering has changed to, for example, 2019 R4.
The latest release I can find is labelled as 12.0.19.
How does that relate to the new number versioning scheme?
Thanks.
Hi,
Version 12.0.19 is 2019 R4 under the new numbering
Many thanks Pam. Any ideas how I might be able to identify this on future releases - is the new numbering system documented anywhere?
Pam - what is the plan for Major releases then? Will they ever happen or will everything be - grab the V12.0.19 ISO, (KB 101223) , install the latest cumulative patch and SAFE components, and that's it?
thanks
Hi Mike - thanks for the guide to the releases.
My big question though is Major releases and install media for new installs. I understand that V12 is not "really" V12 anymore due to the new naming convention, but there should be a level at which the install is bundled up as a starting point.
Looking through the V12 patches, I am seeing a rollup at V12 P14 which I could use for installing X3 from scratch, and I think its 19 that is the baseline for cumulative patching, so If I was to do an install today, I would download P14 so I have an X3 folder install component and database component, grab the latest and greatest SAFE components and Syracuse, install all of that an then patch 15,16,17,18,19 then P21.
Back in Version 6, there was a rollup and it was released as 6.5 after 2 or 3 years.
So, my question really is I guess, when and how will Sage differentiate a major release under the new structure?
thanks!
Currently, for V12, every patch release has a correlating ISO image. So for your example, you can take Patch 21 ISO image and do a fresh install to give you a patch 21 installation
Thanks Mike - that makes life alot easier for everyone i am sure.
