Error messages "Unbalanced distribution 2 (Line 2) (25)" while importing a journal entry.

Hi,

I encountered error messages "Unbalanced distribution 2 (Line 2) (25)" while importing a journal entry.

Any ideas?

    Formatting errors.

DIE refers to the dimensions its expecting to see. I am assuming you have the dimensions values in your file (CCE), but not the DIE value.

Unbalanced is referring to the line numbering.

    Thanks for your insight Martin.

Yes, dimension was set up all in uppercase in Sage but I put in lowercase in spreadsheet. I have that resolved. But still received CUR and Unbalanced distribution errors.

I realize this is an old thread but there isn't much info out there for this error so I thought I'd contribute for future frustrated sage admins and googler's:

If you have a multiline invoice and you wish to specify analytical dimensions or DEPT codes, you MUST do so for each individual line on the invoice.  Otherwise, you will get this "unbalanced distribution 2 (Line 2)" error when attempting to Post, which is a misleading error because it leads to the belief that the issue revolves around a specific problem w invoice line 2, which is not the case.  In my case I had AP data entry personelle inputting mult-line AP invoices and just skipping the DEPT codes on specific lines if they didn't know it.  The invoice will save but the journal cannot post it.  IMO, this is actually a valid process block, Sage just once again drops the ball with a cryptic error messages...
