    Can you specify the field, screen, and X3 version so we can make some wildly inaccurate guesses. 

    Also, it might just be me, but since a data type is not necessarily specific to a column, it would probably be better to create a new data type rather than changing an existing one that might affect multiple columns.

    I have sage X3 V7 . I have a description 4000 characters long . I have added a field ACB datatype but while I create a selection window its not showing this field. Even I tried ACPLAIN its also not showing in selection window. 

    If you have any solution , let me know.
