Access Codes

I need to restrict all fields besides the supplier section on products.

I assumed I could set the function GESITM to view only for this groups functional authorizations and then add an Access Code I created to the supplier fields and set that to allow modification. However when I try to modify one of the supplier fields I get a "Modification not possible" error. I have made sure to validate the ITP(Supplier Product) table I added the access codes to and still cannot modify.

Is this possible or is there a better way of doing this?

    Unfortunately Sage works the opposite way meaning you need to have modify access on the function and add the access codes to all the fields you DON’T want the users to have access and set the access code on their account to No to modify/execute.   Wish it worked the other way around also by adding access code on fields that user can modify without having modify access on the function.  :-(.
