Unscheduled server restart error while VALDICO process after increasing the length of DES and AX3 data type.

Hello All,

I have increased the DES and AX3 data type length from Standard 30 Characters to 60 characters, but when I am performing dictionary validation, I am getting an error of Unscheduled Server Restart.

I tried the same for other data types but didn't get any error, and the process completed successfully. 

Appreciate the help in advance.

    These data types are used by over 250 fields, across all modules in X3 and should never be changed.

    Create new data types, as Renier explains below. You will find problems throughout X3 that can be caused even by using new data types especially with processes such as generating a purchase order from a purchase request, where the 30 character code length is embedded in the code.

    Also screens and reports may need amending. You are asking for a whole heap of problems otherwise.
