URL rewrite hostname to its fqdn

Question

Hi, 
 I want to force client to use the fqdn instead of the hostname ( http://sageweb/.. . -> sageweb.mycompany.local/...) Is there a way to do urlrewrite like in Apache 
 And by extension (and in a near future) how can I force http -> https

finaly I just put a ugly but functional 
 if( window.location.host.toLowerCase() != "sageweb.mycompany.local"){window.location = "http://sageweb.mycompany.local/";} 
 in the login.html page located in 
 "...SageX3\SYRACUSE\syracuse\bin
ode_modules\@sage\syracuse-lib\public\auth\login.html"
