On a screen with a table, how to identify a field code when I cannot click on the field?

SOLVED

Hi,

Rookie developer question here.

This is on GESBIS, Screen code is: BIS3.

Other than identify through Description and make best effort guess on the field's code, is there a way for me to identify the field name's code which I cannot edit on?

I tried clicking on it and it lead me to the nearest editable section. When I use ESC-F6 or ask for field properties, it will show me the nearest editable section's code (in this case, the Purchase Type's field code), which is not the one I want.

Try entering an account code that is set as "subject to tax" that will make the field editable.

You do need functional knowledge in order to know some of these foibles.

In the screen definition aren't the fields in the order of the columns?

Ah, seems like the screen was indeed modified by someone.

    From demo v12:

Given I have no knowledge of how these buttons works, do I just refer to Screen's Input section and guess from Description?

In the screen definition aren't the fields in the order of the columns?

Is there a way to reset the columns default locations when I have messed up the columns orders as a user (for example, I move TAX column to first column because reasons)?

You are making this too complicated

Try to add a new invoice. Use a legislation in SEED that does have tax codes, such as UK. Most of the profit and loss acounts will be subject to tax.

    See example.

You can see the detail you want because the document is not created or posted. Once you have your information cancel the invoice before creation.

If you can create a new invoice manually, you can select the field for entry:

And then escape+F6 to view the field info:
