Work Order Variances

Our work orders may remain open for 6 months or longer due to our lengthy production period. The variances post to the GL upon WIP cost finalization but we need to be able to review and anticipate the impact to the GL prior to the closure of the work order. Are there queries or reports we can run monthly that will provide the variances absorbed in WIP, pending WIP cost finalization?

Hi Marie-Jose,

Thank you for your question. With standard Sage X3, the variances get calculated once the work order is closed and costed. You might want to check the MFGCOST (WO cost detail) report, but it might not have the variances. If this report is not what you are looking for, I suggest getting in touch with your local business partner for further assistance with this question.
