Global Allocation - Add a rule to only allocate stock with status 'A'

SUGGESTED

Hello,

I need some help with allocation process.

We are using the global allocation to allocate our stock product and to generate shortages, and when we are ready to start our production we use the detailed allocation to select the lots that we want.

It happens that we work with several product sub-status A (AQ, AC).

Real Situation:

 - When we create a receipt for a product it enters with status QV and generates a quality control document automatically.

 - After our warehouse do the quality control, the product is putted in a status 'AQ', that is waiting for another quality control (that is created manually by the department)

However, because we are working with global allocations and shortages, as soon as the Warehouse close the first quality control and put the product on the product location, the WO allocate that stock.

The problem is that the product it still in status 'AQ' that should be a status not available to global allocate.

I used an entry point to filter the status on detailed allocation. And it works as I want. It just allocate the stock in status 'A'

But with global allocation, doesn't work.

How can i configure the SAGE X3 to do what I want, just globally allocate the stock that is in status 'A'

Thanks for your help.

Best regards,

    Hi

My understanding is you seek to allocate Accepted stock based on A status only (ignoring other substatuts like AQ).

    Is that correct?

But with global allocation, doesn't work.

Indeed, the information to base your filter (STA) only exist in the STOCK table but by principle global allocation doesn't check the STOCK table (only detailed allocation does it).

It's probably possible to build a customisation to remove the stock correspponding to AQ in the tables used by the global allocation (ITMMVT?) but this will require a serious impact analysis (On stock resynch, stock valuation, etc.). I would consider this approach too complex.

So I suggest that you change your process:

    1. Either you use the detailed allocation (with entry point)
    2. Or you select a different substatus for stock waiting for another quality control (such as RQ).
