The PAY00 screen is the main payment screen, the changes you want to make will likely be needed in the entry transaction screen instead. (W*** screen)

If you click into the description field you wish to increase and hit Esc+F6 it will show info on the screen where this field is located, that's where you will want to change the size. (You can always create a support case so we can help with this)
