The purpouse in have a list with articcle code and standard cost.

As you know a product-site can have multiple associated standard costs depending on the validity.

Assuming, you look for the std cost record valid at current date,  you can use date$ to compare with the ITCSTRDAT =< Date$ =< ITCENDDAT.

You might have 0 or mutliple records, so then you need to select the record with the highest ITCSEQ (the most recent one).

I have other question. If muy last standard cost has an ended validity date, and i don`t use any standard cost funcion, what is the standard cost? I think that the last and ended standard cost.

If you have a valid standard cost for 2023 and no existing standard cost in 2024, the theory should be you have no cost (then the back-up value is applied and at worse you have zero as a stock value).

But I do remember having situation in the past versions where the previous year standard cost was used as back-up value in case the standard cost for the current year was missing.

• First, I am not sure this is still true and it can be tricky to explain to auditors
• Second, I think the limit was if both current and previous year standard costs are missing, then you have no value

My personal rule is: if the product-site exists (and of the product status <> Non usable), then you should have a valid standard cost at all time.

Eve, if the product is value at zero, this is better to create the standard cost with value zero.
