It sounds like you do not need to use Accounts Receivable unless you are invoicing others and payment is received at a later date. Even doing this you will still use an income account on your invoices so that the revenue is accounted for in a way that provides reporting information. 

If you can explain more about the source of your revenues and how you receive it, I may have other suggestions.
