Your Inventory Trial Balance Report includes those two items with unit costs, and that is a report you reconcile to the general ledger.  You really can't remove inventory from stock and have it not impact your financials; without it causing out of balances scenarios.

Then if you run your IM Trial Balance again, the amount will have changed.  The amount that is supposed to balance to your inventory GL accounts...

Very unprocedural way to most transactions.  Highly suggest working with support or your partner.  Using data file display and maintenance is not the way to insure data integrity.  

DFDM is for corrections, not bypassing accounting rules (which auditors would not like at all). Your question is basically asking "is it OK if I corrupt my data, purposefully?".  No.  Don't do that.  We get a lot of questions about how to fix $'s on inventory reports, without QoH (which is something that happened in older versions... Sage has since fixed that bug).

Process the transaction normally, and do a Journal Entry to move the $'s to a different GL account if you really want. 

Ok so I understand what is being said I wasn't planning on handling it with DFDM just wondering if that was an option. However when we attempt to make adjustment in Transaction Entry and we get to the part where Sage wants the FIFO date, Receipt date and Number there is nothing listed so how do I make the adjustment??

Make sure you are in the right warehouse.  Also check that the warehouse quantity matches the total quantities of the Cost Detail tab of Item Maintenance.  If the warehouse quantity does not align with the cost tiers, there is a Sage utility to fix that.

You might have a situation where the Item Warehouse file is not in sync with the Item Costing file.  That is the Item Warehouse says you have one on hand but there is no item costing record. I would copy to a test company and run the various utilities meant to restore the balance and see if this fixes your issue. I would work with your reseller on this. 

Ok it is in the correct warehouse and Cost Detail has no entries .. so doesn't match with warehouse quantity. 

I do have a copy and this item is actually the looks exactly the same as the production item and is the utility referred in these post named.. Balance Inventory Quantity and Cost??
