We are trying to develop the functionality using the classes and representation. We manage to develop new classes and representation with simple header and details concept which uses standard functions such as create, edit and delete with some validation on properties.
However we are still looking for assistance on the concept such as how to use existing sources or classes which are standard. I was looking to Generate Sales Order from a button available on specific screen designed by us using classes and representation. But what we can see is that the existing Sales Order classes do not have creation mode ON hence we are not able to use INSERT functionality for the SORDER classes. Since as mentioned in above stanza we are trying to create the New Sales order using the class and representation we are not sure how do we need to proceed ahead with programming.
- DO we need to call 4GL Import program of Sales Order from the new version file?
- Do we have any other method of like making the copy of the existing class of SORDER, SORDERP, SORDERC, SORDERQ and given the create, edit rights to the custom classes, but we have noticed that the implemented structure does not have the source code hence we again are stuck.
All we want to understand how to use the existing source code which is already present, is there is any way where we can use the standard source code in classes without rewriting the whole source again.
We also want to know if we can use other technologies i.e. write something in HTML, JS and Node JS in existing Classes file or representation file, if yes kindly let us know how to do so.
Any suggestion and advice related what to explore with respect to classes and representation will be appreciated.
