Set up - Dimension types and dimensions

Hi, Seasonal greetings !

This is to ask your support in dimension set up on sage x3 V12.

We have done the following steps to enable a dimension on the payment/ receipt entry option ( manual check and petty cash screen), however its not displaying in lines to pick. 

1. We have added the dimension type in the system ( customer reps )

2. Created dimensions for the dimension type that we have added. 

3. Added it to the chart of accounts and have run the log ( which ran without errors).

Kindly let know if we have missed any crucial steps or made an error as I also have referred to sage materials too which did not specify anything else.

Appreciate earliest support on this.

    Dear Hari,

    You need to enable dimensions in the respective screens, by going to the lines, pressing ESC+F6 together and you will get the information of the screen. Like below.

    Copy the screen name "WMP1CCASZAF" and then go to Development>Script Dictionary>Screens>Screens> 

    Search the screen using the copied screen in the screen code. then go to the respected field you are required to enter.

     

    After editing makes sure to save the screen and then Validate it. once done, you can see the dimensions in the lines.

    Hello hari,

    In the payment entry function, a dimension is only enterable when the payment line account is tracked for the given dimension type.
    Whatever the attribute type, you can see which is the line account by using the field action (3 dots) from the attribute position and then select accounting allocation.


    You can then double check that the account is tracked for the expected dimension type.

    I'm not sure this is exactly what you are looking for but you can share a screenshot of your expected behaviour if it doesn't help.
