Removing Prepayments

Hello,

Is there a way to remove prepayments from a sales order, after the payment has been applied, and the period has been closed? We need to cancel a sales order, apply the payment against a new order.

Hi,

Try this in your test environment.

If a prepayment or a partial prepayment has already been received:

Perform an Accounting Cancellation of the payment.

Delete the payment.

Delete the prepayment line on the sales/purchase order.

Re-enter the prepayment line (or modify the existing line) to reflect the new amount.

Re-enter the payment (s) and post.

This does not work as the period is already closed; therefore an accounting cancellation cannot be done.
