Default Locations within Product-Site

SUGGESTED

All,

We have default locations setup using product-site within our system. However, there are times when we need more than one location to store products because of space & their replenishment levels. My question, can you add more default locations within Product-Site?

You can set a default location with wild cards. For instance, you can set a default location STO12* and if any locations starting with STO12 is available (for instance STO121, STO122, STO123…

I assume your location type is set with  'Capacity managed' ticked.

Thank you Julien, they are indeed capacity managed and we are using FEFO, not FIFO. I'l give you an example. We have an aisle that is G01-G70. There is a product that is in G39, G39, G39 but those locations are actually G39, G37, G35. The monthly consumption is enough to use three locations (G39). It would be nice if we could put those in their respective locations(e.g. G39, G37, G35). It's a bear when we had end of year cycle. The bank cycles by location so we had to add up all three bays to get the cumulative and then count.
