FUNBENCHR - What is the best way to return an item consumed 3 levels under the current Work Order?

Hi everybody!

I Have in the most of the cases, semi-finished goods inside other semi-finished goods and then the finish good.

Imagine a scenario that i have this kind of BOM:

Product A : Finished good

       1 x Product B : Semi finished good

              1 x Product C : Semi finised good

                        2 x Purchased product D

                        1 x Purchased product E

Imagine that in the moment i'm assembling the Product A i see that Product D is damage and i want to claim my vendor about that. What is the best way to return it?

Best Regards,

PV

    Hello PV,

I believe you can use the reintegration plan under Manufacturing, Production tracking, Reintegration plan to return the components issued to a work order.

But imagine that the component (MAT123) was not issued to that work order (WO123), instead, it was issued to a suborder (WO122) and then that order (WO122) was issued to (WO123).

Now, in WO123 the operator detects a problem with that component, problably a raw material supplied by a vendor, that it we want to return from the work order and send it back to our supplier.

Since the MAT123 was not issued to WO123, how can i return it back to proceed with the Quallity workflow, returning the material to the supplier again?

Would you consider setting MAT123 as a by-product of your work order WO123 to enter it again into stock and keep the traceability & cost updated?

If you managed S/N you might not be able to reenter the same S/N via production tracking...
