    Hi Christine,

    1. You are not able to reopen or reactivate a work order that has been costed.
    2. Once a work order has been costed, no additional changes can be made to the order.
    3. Any changes will have to be made directly in Stock or the General Ledger.

Note: This resolution will change the Closed status on a Work Order to Firm and only works on Work Orders that have been Closed but not yet costed.

    1. Expand Manufacturing, Utilities, Work Order Reactivation.
    2. Click Create.
    3. Enter Work order Number.
    4. Click Reactivate

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Pam

yes- thank you.  did further testing and figured it out but just have one question.  If we say No to Production Cost Calculation, what ramifications does this have?  I found that values will still post when we run the WIP Posting function so just want to know what the Production cost calcuation does if we always will run the WIP posting.  thanks again!

    Hi
WIP posting is based on tracking information but the value of the stock produced is based on the WO information (not taking any unplanned scrap and overconsumption) until you tick the Production Cost Calculation (or run the WIP finalization which does the same).

If, the produced good is managed with standard cost this will not affect your stock balance but reporting or posting linked to variance non absorbed (AMTDEV in STOJOU) might be affected.

Best practice is to ensure all work orders are costed at some time.
