Navigation Menu Blank White Screen after importing a Functional Profile to a New Profile

I setup an Import Template for Function profile because I needed to do a mass update of site-grouping without losing the options. I exported a functional profile, made changes including to replace the x3 code of the profile to the new code and the import the file back.

I then assign this new functional profile to a user and try to log in. When I click on the Navigation button, the whole screen just turns white/blank and can't do anything.

I did see someone else posting a similar issue but this user isn't assigned to syracuse administration module. It has a basic navigation page assigned to its role. If I change the functional profile to an existing one, it works fine. This only happens when I import the functional profile to a new one. Do you know what could be causing this issue?

    Hi Andrew,

    The navigation options are available from the Navigation page (Admin, Authoring, Pages)

    The link is made through the Roles/Groups linked to the user account.

    After the import, can you verify the new user's Role is listed on the navigation page you want displayed?

    If it is, and you still don't have navigation page options, try selecting the same role and re-saving.

    Either way, if this is reproducible we'd need a support case created so we can review test and submit the appropriate escalations to have this fixed.

    Posterity purpose:  RE: [X3v12] Pressing Navigation Page lead to pure whiteout and blank screen after a new group and role creation 

    From my last confirm of X3 v12p31 syracuse version, it will start to occurs if I am doing manual active user maintenance, such as creating a new navigation page using Edit page content.

    The issue occurs randomly and affects stray users as well and have to gamble whether receive a white screen or normal navigation page. Temporary fix ranging from going Desktop-mobile form to running in incognito (sometimes doesn't work).

    The only guarantee resolution is to restart the Syracuse server to the ire of the company and then reset each browser cache for Sage X3.
