Sage X3 as a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

With the recent inclusion of the Preventative Maintenance module to X3 it seems to me that X3 is now ticketing all the boxes that organizations would want to see when purchasing a CMMS system.  Based on my research prospects that are looking for a CMMS are interested in the solution that provides the following features...

  • Managing spare part inventory
  • Purchase request and reordering of spare parts
  • Preventative maintenance work order scheduling and tracking
  • Service history tracking
  • Asset management and tracking

In my estimation X3 now has the capability to manage all of these requirements.  I think it is a missed opportunity to not aggressively go after this market segment. Based on my cursory research it seems that this is already a 1.6B USD  market with growth ramping up to 4.2B USD in the next ten years. 

I would love to see the Sage marketing department start to bring exposure to these capabilities.  Currently on the Sage website you would have no idea that we have solution to meet these needs.
